keeping of pets
You may, subject to certain conditions, keep a domestic pet. Before doing so you must obtain our permission. For further details see our Keeping Pets Policy.
You must take all reasonable steps to supervise and keep pets under control and to prevent them causing nuisance, annoyance or danger to your neighbours. You must also ensure that any pets do not cause damage to the house, your neighbour's property or anything belonging to us or for which we are responsible for, such as the common parts. This includes fouling and you are held responsible for cleaning up the faeces of any pet owned by you, anyone living with you or visiting you.
We as the landlord reserve the right to request removal of the pet if found to be causing a nuisance or damage. Where we believe any pet is being kept in an improper way or is being maltreated we will report the matter to the SSPCA.
You are not allowed to keep pets for the purposes of breeding. Where the number of pets exceeds that for which you have permission we reserve the right to have you dispose of them. You are not allowed to keeps animals or birds in kennels, huts, hutches, or aviaries in your garden without our express permission, in writing. Where permission has been given we reserve the right to revoke that permission if the structure and/or the pet are found to be causing a nuisance.
You are not allowed to erect a pigeon loft or keep pigeons in your garden or on any ground belonging to us.
