M Hogg - Door Cleaning - Wilson Drive - Sept 14 - Website Copy

Wednesday 24th September 2014 was a very busy day for Waverley Housing.  In the morning staff were out and about in the Wilson Drive/Fairhurst Drive area of Burnfoot undertaking various works, including door cleaning, as part of our commitment to “give something back” to the communities in which we serve.

Waverley Housing Association 25th anniversary day, held at the new headquarters , in Hawick. The AGM, that took place in the evening, was held at the Burnfoot Community Centre.

In the afternoon we continued to celebrate our 25th anniversary by hosting an event at our new office premises for our Partners and Stakeholders, the event providing a great opportunity for guests to meet the Waverley team, find out a little more about the work they do as well as participating in a tour of our new facilities.

We were delighted so many members of the community came along to support us at the event and Rita Stenhouse, our Chair, welcomed all present and gave a short resume of Waverley’s progress over the years before inviting Andy Turnbull, Tenant Director to cut our celebratory cake. Andy was also presented with a small token of appreciation from Waverley to mark his retirement from our Board following 22 years’ service.

Waverley Housing Association 25th anniversary day, in Hawick. To round off the action-packed day we all headed across to Burnfoot Community School where our AGM took place. A scrumptious hog roast was provided and as tenants browsed the various information stands on offer they had the opportunity to enter several competitions – including a cupcake decorating competition for our younger tenants!
