The Post Office is currently undergoing a national programme of modernisation underpinned by Government investment which will help to make branches more modern and convenient for customers. Already over 5000 Post Offices have been modernised and converted to new style branches bringing benefit to customers and postmasters through longer opening hours with many open on a Sunday.

The Post Office at  7 Sandbed,  Hawick will be changing to one of the new modern Main Style branches and will close for refurbishment on Wednesday 3 February at 17.30 and reopen on Monday 22 February at 13.00.

The Post Office apologises for the inconvenience caused and thanks customers for their patience during the temporary closure period.

ALTERNATIVE POST OFFICE BRANCHES

BURNFOOT POST OFFICE – 5 KENILWORTH AVENUE HAWICK.

Opening times   Mon – Fri      07.00 – 17.30           Sat    07.00- 16.30.

The majority of services are available at Burnfoot PO including Post Office Card Account withdrawals, barcoded bill payments, stamps and mail services.

There is a frequent bus service available between Sandbed Post Office and Burnfoot Post Office.

During this necessary period of closure the Post Office will be providing a free temporary bus service for Post Office customers to transport them to JEDBURGH POST OFFICE where all services are available incl Car Tax, on demand Bureau de Change, Passport Check and send service & on demand travel insurance facilities.
