Local Housing Strategy 2023-2028Scottish Borders Council has begun work on the next Local Housing Strategy (LHS) for the Scottish Borders. The LHS will be a five year strategy covering 2023-2028. A key part of the development of the LHS is early engagement. Early engagement helps to ensure that people have a greater opportunity to have their say and influence the future of their communities, including the delivery of housing and housing related services. We have developed a survey for residents in the Scottish Borders. The closing date for the two surveys is 11th September. The resident workshops will be taking place between 2nd – 10th August. These are based on four housing issues papers that have been prepared as part of the development of the Local Housing Strategy. The fours topics are: · Housing Delivery and Place Making · Climate Change, Energy Efficiency and Housing Quality · Homelessness · Particular Housing and Specialist Provision.
