What to expect on the day:
- No pressure to speak – you can simply listen and find out what is happening within Tenant Participation and how younger tenants can get involved.
- This is an opportunity for you to have your say & make any points you wish to raise on what housing associations can do better to help you get involved

Engaging with younger people is a challenge facing the social housing sector in Scotland.
Colin Cassie at Link Group delivered a workshop at this year’s TPAS Scotland Annual Conference on how they as a landlord engaged with young people which they identified as seldom heard voices.
(and in particular young men under the age of 35)
For those who missed out on this highly engaging workshop, Colin has agreed to re-run it again on Tuesday 1st September from 11am to 12noon where he will share insights on
- Understanding the challenges and barriers and how younger people engage with their landlord
- Determining what younger tenants need and want
- How best to communicate with different tenant groups
- Using digital technology and SMS messaging as an enabler to start conversations
Link Group are seeing a significant uptake in engagement since changing their focus and Colin will share the results of this campaign as part of this workshop.
